Frequently Asked Questions

NHT provides mortgage financing for its contributors who have made minimum mandatory contributions and whose account are in good standing with NHT.

Each qualifying buyer can recieve a mortgage of up to JA$7.5 million (CA$75,000).  Each household consisting of 3 qualified buyers can recieve a mortgage up to JA$21 miilion (CA$210,000).

A minimum of 10% of the purchase price.

Eight to twelve months.

Any two (2) contributors may co-apply for a loan however three (3) family members with established kinship ties may also co-apply and access a loan to buy or build a house where the unit is at least two (2) bedrooms.
